The GMIR50 Induction Heater is specially designed for mounting and dismounting the inner races of cylindrical roller bearings used on axles of railway rolling stock and traction motors. The equipment uses the latest intelligent microcontroller based electronic control system to ensure safe and efficient heating.
This machine provides fast, safe and economical heating of the inner races of cylindrical roller bearings. It can also be used in other industrial applications where similar bearing mounting and dismounting operations are required.
During induction heating, components may acquire residual magnetism strong enough to attract iron particles or metal dust. The control panel of the GMIR50 Induction Heater is designed to eliminate this residual magnetism quickly using the heating coil itself. The induction coil can therefore be used for both heating and demagnetization.
When alternating current flows through a coil wound around a component, it creates an oscillating magnetic field that induces current within the component. Due to the skin effect, the outer surface of the component heats faster than the inner core.
Based on this principle, a ring shrink-fitted on a shaft heats more rapidly than the shaft itself, creating a temperature difference between the two. This temperature differential causes the ring to expand sufficiently to overcome interference and allows the component to be removed easily.
